Know the moment it changes

Installed rates are measured against benchmark as the work happens and flagged in both directions — running slow is the contractually dangerous one, running fast often means the estimate was wrong or your float is being squeezed.

Those rates roll up across every project into a production history that belongs to you: per cost code, with thin data honestly marked rather than quietly averaged.

The question no schedule can answer

Any scheduling tool will tell you what one job needs. None of them can tell you whether you have the people for all of them — plus the three you're bidding — in October. That question gets answered on a whiteboard, from memory, by whoever has been there longest.

Every job adds up to one number

Sightline holds the schedule for every project you're running, so it can total them. One demand curve across the whole company, broken out by classification, with your real supply laid over it — net of time off, loans, and assignments already made.

Work you haven't won yet contributes its own demand, held separately so it never inflates committed capacity. You can see what happens if you win it. You're never staffing against it by accident.

That's the view that decides whether you hire, call the hall, sub it out, or turn the work down.

The record underneath

Every number carries a name and a timestamp

Sightline isn't a claims tool. It's a planning tool that happens to leave a defensible trail behind it — so the documentation is already built by the time you need it, instead of reconstructed under pressure after the window has closed.

The field owns its figures

A reviewer has two options: approve, or send it back with a reason. There is no approver override. Nobody's number gets quietly rewritten by someone who wasn't there.

Small slips are never silent

Contract notice obligations turn on when you became reasonably aware. Sightline logs and timestamps a slip the day it appears, whether or not it's big enough to act on.

Nothing is sent on your behalf

Sightline drafts a delay notice from confirmed evidence and freezes it as a PDF on your letterhead, ready to issue. A human authorises every transmission. No exceptions.
